Welcome to the Bladen County Department of Public Health Website. I hope you will carefully peruse the website to learn the many faces of Public Health. I believe you will be surprised when you see the many services that your local health department provides on a daily basis.

 

 

During the past 150 years so much progress has been made in Public Health. Through such contributions as immunizations and sanitation acute diseases are not the bane to the community they once were and have been replaced with chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes. The effectiveness of Public Health programs is documented by the increased life expectancy and reduced infant mortality rates of the past century.

 

I want to assure all citizens of Bladen County that if any health issues or concerns arise, the hard working, highly trained and dedicated staff of the local health department will meet the challenge with swiftness and professionalism second to none. The staff strive each day to provide customer friendly and quality services  to anyone regardless of their socioeconomic status.
