Bladen County Health Department has a Social Worker II position opening in the Child Service Coordination Program. The primary purpose of the position is to collaborate and cooperate with families of infant/children age 0-5 to assure identification of and access to preventive, specialized and support service for themselves and their children.
Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work; Bachelor's degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university and one year directly related experience; Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years directly related experience. Directly related experience is defined as human services experience in the areas of case management, assessment and referral, supportive counseling, intervention, psycho-social therapy and treatment planning. Degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

DESCRIPTION:
PERFORMS A VARIETY OF DUTIES IN THE CARE AND CLEANING OF ASSIGNED BUILDINGS OR AREAS. WORK IS GUIDED BY A DAILY SCHEDULE FOR GENERAL ASSIGNMENTS AND SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS. WORK PERFORMED UNDER GENERAL SUPERVISION OF THE HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISIOR AND IS REVIEWED THROUGH INSPECTIONS AND CONSULTATION WITH SUPERVISORY PERSONNEL.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE, HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE OF CLEANING PROCEDURES. ABILITY TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY AND PERFORM MEDIUM TO HEAVY PHYSICAL WORK. ABILITY TO LIFT A MINIMUM OF 50 POUNDS. ABILITY TO ADMINISTER NECESSARY PAPERWORK INVOLVED. ABLE TO WORK WITH THE PUBLIC EFFECTIVELY.

DEPARTMENT: Emergency Medical Services
POSITION: Emergency Medical Technician
STATUS:
Part time EMT ($10.72 hourly rate)
Part time EMT –I ($11.80 hourly rate)
Description:
Under the general direction of an EMS Supervisor, perform the duties of an Emergency Medical Technician by administering emergency, non-emergency, transport/convalescent, medical and ambulance services of the County. Complete Ambulance Call Reports, Narratives and other documentation as required.
Must be able to work rotating shifts to include day, night, weekends and holidays.
Education, Training & Experience:
Individuals with a Certification by the North Carolina Medical Examiners Boards as an Emergency Medical Technician & EMT-I.
CPR certification.
EMT-I (Must obtain ACLS, ITLS, & Pals certification.)
High school diploma or GED Valid North Carolina driver’s license.
Participate in appropriate continuing education program.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of occupational and county policies, regulations and guidelines. Ability to promote good public relations and work with citizens, doctors and hospital employees; ability to perform the physical activities required, to include, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pulling, stooping, walking and other physical exertions of 300 pounds of force with assistance

STATUS: PERMANENT FULL TIME / UP TO 37.5 HRS PER WEEK
DESCRIPTION:
Performs full range of circulation desk procedures using an automated circulation system. Provides basic reference and readers’ advisory for adults and juveniles. Performs general clerical work as required. Operates a variety of equipment including but not limited to computers, printers, copiers, and AV projection. Must work some nights, weekends, and on outreach vehicle.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Must meet competency requirements (a correct demonstration of the tasks to be performed.) Must provide own transportation.
